A large-diameter, wide-angle prime lens.
The Olympus EW-M1712 M.Zuiko 17mm f1.2 PRO Lens employs a combination of special lenses to deliver beautiful defocusing effects and excellent resolution.
- High-speed imager AF (MSC mechanism)
- Maximum image magnification of 0.15x
- Maximum aperture of f/1.2

- Reliable dustproof, splash-proof and freeze-proof construction
Employing 6 ED lens elements, including ED-DSA lens, to incorporate the features of both ED (Extra-low Dispersion) and DSA (Dual Super Aspherical) lenses. This compensates for unfocused colour bleeding (axial chromatic aberration) and colour bleeding (magnification chromatic aberration) at the image periphery.
Excellent close-up shooting ability
This lens has excellent close-up shooting abilities with a focusing distance of 20cm and shooting magnification of 0.15× (35mm equivalent: 0.3x). You can get closer to subjects to emphasise background bokeh.
Despite being a large diameter F1.2 lens, a lightweight focusing unit is made possible via the MSC (Movie and Still Compatible) mechanism. A screw drive mechanism is used as the core drive system of the MSC mechanism and a stepping motor is used as the drive motor.
Z Coating Nano
A layer of nanoscale size particles that have air in the centre coat the lens surface to significantly reduce surface reflection, ghosts and flaring for sharp, clear image quality.
Controls that meet the demands of pros
Controls are designed to meet the demands of pros, including a focus ring for comfortable focusing and an L-Fn button which can be operated as you keep your eye to the viewfinder.
Reliable dustproof, splash-proof and freeze-proof construction
Hermetic sealing across the entire lens results in highly reliable dustproof, splash-proof and freeze-proof performance. You can feel comfortable shooting anywhere, never worrying about dust, rain or inclement weather.
