"Purchased a 2017 Mac and it was installed with something as old as Yosemite, but was working fine. As soon as I upgraded to the recent BigSur I have to keep shutting it down to stop the extremely loud fan [at least every 2 hours]. Also, every time I close the Mac without shutting it down the internet stops working so I have to shut it down and log in all over again. The system is meant to faster than my older Mac with 4 Gb ram but its twice as slow, extremely sluggish. Appalling Mac that works similar to my 2005 model. Avoid at all costs."
