This industrial power plug is a movable connector attached to an electrical power cord.
When using a standard plug, measuring the current drawing via the live lead requires the live wire to be isolated from the power cord by an electrician. This new Patent-pending* design isolates the wire within the housing structure which allows the measurement of the current in a safe and easy manner using a clamp-on meter.
