The Circular knitting needle has two pointed needles joined by a flexible cord. The cord allows the weight of the work to rest on the lap rather than on the needles. There is less strain on the hands and wrists as the Circular cord accommodates a large number of the stitches.
Circular knitting needles can be used for both flat and knitting in circles. The length of the flexible cord will determine the size of the garment. The transition point where the shank is connected to the flexible cord is smooth for snag free stitches and is firmly fixed to avoid the cord separating while knitting.
