The welting is provided with 6 strong disc-backed rivets. Two close-fitting press-studs hold the axe securely in position. The flap, also fastened with four strong disc-backed rivets, accommodates belts and straps up to 55 mm wide. Fits positions 1) Appalachian Axe Large and 2) Appalachian Axe Small.
