The Saber 10.00 mm Triple Flute Countersink is engineered for precision countersinking and deburring across a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The three-flute configuration is self-centring with wide flutes, designed to create a heavy chamfer at the entrance of a drilled hole. This ensures proper seating for countersunk screws or provides an accurate lead-in for secondary machining operations such as tapping.
Manufactured from HSS-Co5 (5% cobalt), this countersink offers exceptional hardness and heat resistance, delivering superior tool life-especially in stainless steel, high-tensile steel, and other difficult-to-machine materials.
The Bronze (Gold Oxide) finish is a tempering treatment commonly used on cobalt tooling for identification, while the TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating significantly reduces friction and heat buildup. This allows higher cutting speeds, improved chip flow, and extended tool life. The coating is applied by Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) for maximum adhesion and durability.
