About Us

Domus Clearance is a way for consumers to buy high quality products at wholesale prices.

Shipping and Returns Policy 

We charge a $20 flat rate shipping across Australia.

If a product is no longer required or you've changed your mind, you have 30 days to return these goods to our warehouse.

All products returned must be in their original packaging and must not have been used. If the product box is damaged in any way this may affect the result of your return.

Returns will be processed as a store credit which is valid for up to 12 months from the date of issue to use on any of our products. If you would like to opt for a refund please note it will incur a 15% restocking fee.

The customer is responsible to arrange and pay for the return delivery.

For items that have been made to order or custom made or altered in any way, unfortunately we cannot accept these items back.

Please note:
Products may differ from those pictured on the website due to natural variations in colour and finish.
Products that have been installed cannot be returned.

Warranty Information 

In order to be eligible for warranty claim:

1. The customer must have been the purchaser of our product and must be able to show their proof of purchase.

2. The product must have been installed by a licensed electrician.

3. The customer must be able to provide evidence of the fault.

4. The product must have been installed in accordance with our installation guidelines.

Warranty Coverage

Once a warranty claim has been submitted, we will assess the claim and determine the most appropriate resolution.

Depending on circumstances, we may elect to send a member of our team to completely replace the faulty product / part or may defer to a third party to complete the replacement. In either case, our liability is limited to the cost of either repairing or replacing the faulty product. In the event that it is found that there is no fault with our product, or that the product is not from Domus Lighting, then a service charge may be incurred to the consumer to cover the cost of the call-out.

If the faulty product is no longer supplied by us, then Domus Lighting is obligated to replace the product with another suitable product from our range or provide a refund for the purchase, as deemed appropriate. Please note that the duration of the warranty runs from the original date of purchase and will not be extended if the original product is replaced.

Our standard warranty period will vary from item to item, and within each item will vary depending on whether the product application is residential or commercial. Please refer to the “Warranty Durations” table on this document to determine your product warranty duration.

We define “residential application” as being installed in a domestic environment such as a house or apartment, with usage not exceeding an average of 8 hours per 24-hour period. We define “commercial application” as being installed in the address of a registered business or service, and or where the usage of our product exceeds an average of 8 hours per 24-hour period. Exceptions

Our warranty may be voided in the following circumstances:

• If the product has been damaged as a result of non-adherence to our product installation guidelines.

• If the product has been purchased through a non-approved seller.

• If proof of purchase cannot be produced.

• If the product is found to have been improperly stored or used.

• If the product has not been maintained as per any guidelines in the manual.

• If the product has been damaged due to misuse or wear and tear.

• If the product has been damaged due to incorrect voltage, or adverse external conditions such as power dips, lightning, extreme weather, exposure to heat, corrosion, or infestations of insects /vermin.

• If the product has been damaged due to it’s combined use with non-authourised products /globes. • If the product has been repaired by a non-registered electrician.

• If the product is not a Domus Lighting product.

• If the product has not failed to the extent that it no longer performs to its published specifications and features.

• If the product has been installed in a location not appropriate for its given IP rating.

• If the product has corroded or rusted due to being installed within 5km of a saltwater environment.

• If the product has been installed in a location where it cannot be easily serviced, repaired, or replaced without causing further damage to the fitting or its surroundings.

• If the product has been in any way modified or tampered with to the extent that it differs from the original product.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
